Tom Brady joins investment round for education tech startup

April 22, 2021 - Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady and Salesforce Ventures, the investment arm of business software giant Salesforce, are among the investors in a $12.25 million round of funding for Class Technologies Inc., a startup that created teaching and learning tools that integrate with Zoom. The investment brings the company’s total capital raise to more than $58 million in the past 12 months, according to a news release. Brady, in a prepared statement, offered high praise for Class Technologies and its CEO and co-founder, Michael Chasen: “As most parents experienced first-hand, the pandemic highlighted the need for better online teaching and learning technology. I am pleased to partner with Michael Chasen, a proven education and technology pioneer and fellow father of three, to bring the promise, potential and power of the digital classroom to people around the world."
