Tropicana Field has a new roof
November 21, 2025 - The City of St. Petersburg announced Friday that workers have installed Tropicana Field's final roof panel ahead of schedule. Hurricane Milton shredded the stadium's dome in October 2024, and the city is contractually obligated to provide the Tampa Bay Rays with a suitable home through 2028. Mayor Ken Welch credited "outstanding" staff and contractors for completing the "massive undertaking" and looks forward to welcoming fans back to a fully repaired Trop in April 2026.
