Tyrone Square retailer closes its doors

January 14, 2021 - Christopher & Banks has filed for bankruptcy and is closing more than 400 stores nationally, including the company's store at Tyrone Square Mall. The womenswear company filed for Chapter 11 on Thursday, a result of "financial distress resulting from the pandemic and its ongoing impact," according to CNN. The Tyrone Square store expects to close by the end of February. Merchandise is 40 percent to 60 percent off the original price, according to a news release from Hilco Merchant Resources, which was assigned to manage the store closing process.  Store fixtures are also being sold, Hilco said. Christopher & Banks online sales will continue, and closing discounts will not apply to online purchases, the news release said.
