USF men’s basketball coach dies at 43
October 25, 2024 - The University of South Florida announced Thursday evening that head men’s basketball coach Amir Abdur-Rahim died earlier in the day. Abdur-Rahim, 43, was undergoing a medical procedure at a Tampa-area hospital and died from complications. The American Athletic Conference named Abdur-Rahim its 2023-24 Coach of the Year after he led the Bulls (25-8) to their first regular-season conference championship and top-25 ranking.
