WMNF and news director Rob Lorei part ways – again
April 11, 2021 - Rick Fernandes, general manager of WMNF, Tampa's venerable community radio station, announced Friday that and longtime news and public affairs director Rob Lorei was no longer with the station. Lorei confirmed to the Catalyst that he had been fired, but had not - as of Sunday morning - received an explanation from Fernandes. Lorei, who co-founded WMNF in 1979, was fired two years ago by then-station manager Craig Kopp, but reinstated after a public outcry. This is a developing story.
