Bayfront Health St. Petersburg has been serving residents for 110 years.
Bayfront Health constantly develops its facilities in order to keep up with changing medical technologies. Bayfront earned a respectable reputation in its early days as it focused on expanding services, installing 800 beds in order to provide space and care for patients in the area. By the mid 1980s, Bayfront Health was able to launch a renovation project that developed an emergency/trauma center, intensive care and cardiac and neurology units. Today, Bayfront Health is established as a level II trauma and tertiary care center. Some of its newer, advanced services include diagnostic imaging, laboratory testing, palliative care and rehabilitation programs.
