Rowdies sponsor new Soccer Hall of Fame
July 17, 2025 - The Tampa Bay Rowdies announced Thursday that the club will sponsor the new Tampa Bay Soccer Hall of Fame, which will induct its first class of honorees at a banquet Aug. 14. The inaugural class of inductees includes legendary Rowdies players Mike Connell, Derek Smethurst and Steve Wegerle, founding owner George Strawbridge, first coach Eddie Firmani and team executive Francisco Marcos. The ceremony coincides with the Rowdies Original Era Night celebration Aug. 16 at Al Lang Stadium.
