Allstate Roadside Services will shut down its operations in Largo later this year.

About 90 jobs will be eliminated when the shutdown occurs, a person familiar with the decision told the St. Pete Catalyst. The jobs are being outsourced to India and to Colombia, that person said.

Allstate confirmed the Largo office would close, but did not say how many people would be impacted or where the jobs would go.

“Allstate Roadside recently let employees know that it will close its operations in Largo, Florida later this year. We communicated with employees now, so they have time to prepare and pursue alternative positions across Allstate, including other Largo operations,” the company said in a statement provided to the Catalyst.

Allstate Roadside Services offers white label and co-branded roadside assistance programs. The company says it serves automobile manufacturers, commercial fleet managers, automobile rental agencies, wireless providers and membership associations, among many other businesses in the U.S. and Canada.

Allstate Roadside Services is part of The Allstate Corp. (NYSE: ALL), a Chicago-based insurance holding company. The company announced a “Transformative Growth Plan” in December as part of an effort to overhaul how it does business, boost efficiency and reduce expenses, Insurance Journal reported.

AllState Corp. reported net income of $4.7 billion, or $14.03 a share, on total revenue of $44.7 billion in 2019.
