‘Catalyst Sessions’ recap: Elizabeth Gelman
Elizabeth Gelman, executive director of the Florida Holocaust Museum, joined us Thursday for The Catalyst Sessions.
It was a free-ranging and far-reaching interview, touching on numerous issues related to the operation, both physical and virtual, of one of the city’s most important historical resources.
Gelman, who joined the museum staff in 2013, revealed that the doors will re-open, to museum members, on Nov. 9. The public will be allowed back in in January.
Meanwhile, the extensive virtual experience continues. Coming soon: A virtual edition of “Trunks of Hope,” a key ingredient of the museum’s ongoing educational initative.
On the outside walls now is an exhibition of paintings by Lithuanian Holocaust survivor Samuel Bak, Beautiful Questions.
