AmeriLife acquires The Equita Group
October 15, 2020 - AmeriLife Group in Clearwater has acquired The Equita Group, formally known as Equita Financial and Insurance Services. AmeriLife markets and distributes life, health and retirement solutions, while Equita is one of the largest life insurance marketing organizations in the country, a news release said. Financial terms were not disclosed. As part of the transaction, AmeriLife also acquired MACC Insurance Services, an affiliate of Equita with a call center platform to generate direct-to-consumer sales in the Medicare industry. The Equita team will join AmeriLife, including Eric Brennan who will be president and CEO of Equita Financial and Equita Health Care, and Ben Boman, who will be president of Equita Final Expense Services.
