Former Assistant Public Defender Launches Henry Law

St. Petersburg, Florida, April 20, 2021

Catherine Henry has launched Henry Law, a concierge criminal defense practice serving the Tampa Bay area. She is an experienced trial attorney and values cornerstone to the firm are accessibility and communication. She takes great pride in personally litigating all of her clients’ cases to ensure that they receive the most effective defense.

Ms. Henry began her career at the Public Defender’s Office in the Sixth Judicial Circuit, beginning in the misdemeanor domestic violence division, where she defended clients accused of violations of injunction, domestic battery, domestic assault, and stalking charges. Catherine spent the balance of her time in public service representing clients facing felony charges in circuit court. Most notably, she partnered with the American Civil Liberties Union to litigate the issue of pretrial detention, to secure affordable bonds and pretrial release for her clients in custody pending criminal charges.

Ms. Henry is the current Chair of the St. Petersburg Bar’s Criminal Law Section and Secretary for the Pinellas Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. She will be serving on the board of directors for both the St. Petersburg Bar Association and the Pinellas Chapter of the Florida Association for Women Lawyers in the coming year.
