Tampa Bay Innovation Center names 7 startups participating in fourth cohort
The Tampa Bay Innovation Center will have seven startups for its next accelerator cohort.
The coworking entrepreneurial center announced the fourth cohort on Tuesday. The seven startups participating will receive specific training and mentoring in customer discovery, investor readiness and leadership over the next 90 days.
Previous cohort founders in the TBIC accelerator program have raised more than $5 million in capital during and after participating in the program.
“With the surge of new businesses that were created in late 2020 and early 2021, it is more important than ever to have resources that support early-stage startups. With more than just an entrepreneurial mindset and good ideas, the batch of startups that applied to this cohort are tackling real business problems that will draw the attention of new tech talent and customers to the Tampa Bay startup ecosystem,” Ken Evans, accelerator managing director, said in the group’s press release.
The seven startups of the cohort include:
• St. Pete-based Topenga
•Tampa-based GameDrive
•Tampa-based Šóta Signal Analytics
• California-based Kandel
•St. Pete-based iSocrates
• Seminole-based Phronesis Health
• Tampa-based Little Town Solutions
The program will run from today through Oct. 20. Graduates of the program will participate in the Showcase event the week of the program to an audience of investors, community leaders, media and potential business partners/customers.
