Places This Week: St. Pete Beach inns for sale

The Lofts of St. Pete Beach, a newly renovated 12-room property located at 607 71st Ave., has listed with an asking price of $5.25 million. The two-story, 6,976 square foot structure was built in 1956 and sits on a 10,751 square-foot parcel.
Renovations completed in 2024 include all new construction upstairs and a complete remodel downstairs. All rooms offer king-size beds, most have kitchens and one comes with its own washer and dryer. Outdoors is a newly-decorated patio area with barbecue grills, a pool and oversized canopy umbrellas.
Other improvements include Key West-style decorations, new shaker cabinets and quartz countertops in the kitchens, updated fencing and plumbing, and a new fire and sprinkler system.
The property was purchased in late 2022 for $1.85 million. Improvements valued at over $600,000 have been made since then.

The Upham Beach Inn, a 12-unit motel located at 600 68th Ave., has listed for $5.1 million. The four one-story structures, with a combined total of 5,564 gross square-feet, were built between 1948 and 1949 and renovated in 2020.
The property includes one 2-bedroom suite, six 1-bedroom units with full kitchens, four efficiency units with full kitchens, and one micro-efficiency with a mini-fridge. Recent updates include installation of modern mini-split AC systems, polished kitchens with shaker cabinets and granite countertops and bathrooms with new turquoise tilework. Each unit has pool access and its own beach storage crate – complete with a beach wagon and chairs. Upham Beach is 352 yards away.
Additional improvements include new interior and exterior paint, contemporary beach-style plank flooring and updated electrical and plumbing systems. A new roof was added in 2017 and the pool area was remodeled in 2020.
The property is currently being operated as an Airbnb and holds a license for short-term rentals. It was last purchased by Rhoderick LLC in 2022 for $4.9 million.

Belleair Shores waterfront home sells
A 5-bedroom, 3.5-bath home located at 400 Gulf Blvd. in Belleair Shores sold March 18 for $9.5 million, one million below the list price. Built in 1979 by Clearwater’s Arthur Rutenberg of AR Homes, the two-story, wood-framed 6,583 square-foot home sits on a 1.08-acre beachfront lot on the Gulf of Mexico.
The first level features a living room with vaulted ceilings, a kitchen with spacious countertops and seating area, an office with a stone fireplace and built-in library shelving and two large bedrooms – each with access to a secluded porch area. Upstairs is the master suite with a private balcony, dual walk-in closets and a bath with a soaking tub offering views of the beach below. Also on the second floor is a two-bedroom suite with a living area, private balcony and full bath.
Outside is a multi-level wrap-around deck, pool with cascading waterfalls, an elevated connecting spa and a fire pit.
The seller is a trustee of the Sembler Trust of 2013; the Sembler Company is a family-run St. Petersburg real estate developer and leasing business.
The home was purchased by the Sembler family from the Rutenberg family in 2019 for $7.6 million. Garret Jagdmann with Engel & Völkers Belleair represented the Sembler Trust. The buyer was represented by Allan Mezrah with Toni Everett Company.

St. Pete small bay for sale
A property with 65 standard, small-bay industrial and storage units located at 3500 Morris St. N., St. Petersburg has listed with an asking price of $1.75 million.
The one-story warehouse structure, built in 1980, encompasses 12,272 rentable heated square-feet. Most of the bays are around 250 square-feet, with others ranging in size from 50 to 625. The .57-acre parcel of land is located approximately four miles from downtown St. Petersburg.
The property is currently about 90% occupied with rents ranging from $80 to $1,000 per month. One lease runs through June 2025 while the others end in 2024 between March and August. The property was last purchased in Dec. 2021 for $1.25 million by 3500 Morris Street N LLC with an address in Fort Lauderdale.

Three-level Treasure Island beach home lists
A single-family, fully furnished Treasure Island home with 5 bedrooms and 4.5 baths has listed for $6.18 million. The three-story, 4,988 square-foot property is located at 9550 W. Gulf Blvd. and sits on a 6,268 square-foot beachfront lot.

Pinellas Park office park sells
A three-building office park located at 8800 49th St. N. in Pinellas Park sold March 15 for $4 million, approximately $1 million below the list price. Situated in the south-central corridor of Pinellas County, the office park is only a few thousand feet from US Highway 19, Gandy Blvd. and I-275.
The three one-story structures were built in 1974 and house between 12 and 18 offices each. Together they total 46,700 heated square-feet with units ranging from 651 to 5,132 square-feet—90% of which are under 700. Forty percent of tenants’ leases will come due by the end of 2025.
Recent upgrades include a new roof in 2022, a new security camera system, new exterior paint and HVAC upgrades. The 3.75-acre parcel includes 150 parking spaces and excess land in the rear provides future new development opportunity.
BH Office Park LLC, with offices in Hollywood, Florida, purchased the property (along with two other general office buildings) in March 2022.
