There are just three days left to see the musical You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown at St. Petersburg’s freeFall Theatre. It’s a co-production with ThinkTank Theatre, from Tampa.

On today’s edition of the Arts Alive! podcast, we speak with Cameron Kubly, a longtime bay area musical theater performer, who’s playing Charlie Brown in the circa-1967 show based on Charles M. Schulz’ beloved Peanuts characters.

Charlie Brown sings and philosophizes – as only Peanuts characters can – alongside Lucy, Linus, Sally, Schroeder and even Snoopy. Others from the Peanuts universe complete the ensemble.

Also in the studio is Georgia Mallory Guy, founder of ThinkTank and the director of You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown. She discusses the show, the collaboration, and her company’s mission – which includes nurturing and encouraging young theater performers in hopes they’ll fall in love with it and choose it as a career.

As she, Kubly and others in the Charlie Brown cast and crew did.
