Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille hosts Nov. 21 benefit event for hurricane relief
Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille’ Jungle Terrace restaurant is hosting Sip for a Cause, a benefit to support local hurricane relief efforts Thursday, Nov. 21. During the event, Doc Ford’s will be launching their Hurricane cocktail. Now until Dec. 31, Doc Ford’s will donate $4 from each sale equally between SPCA Tampa Bay and Reach St. Pete. The event will offer live music by St. Pete local Erin Boone and raffle giveaways from 5 to 8 p.m.
The Hurricane cocktail features Mt. Gay Eclipse rum, Cointreau, passion fruit syrup, lemon juice, sweet and sour and grenadine.
“As members of the St. Pete community, we stand with our employees, neighbors and guests as everyone continues to recover from this intense hurricane season,” said Joe Harrity, a partner with HM Restaurant Group, the parent company of Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille. “We invite everyone to join us and help raise money for SPCA Tampa Bay and Reach St. Pete.”
An independent animal welfare agency serving the community for 84 years, SPCA Tampa Bay runs an open-admission, for-all animal shelter in Pinellas County. Annually, the organization cares for nearly 8,000 animals surrendered by their owners along with injured wildlife, providing immunizations, medical care and enrichment. It’s supported by a team of 100-plus staff members and more than 250 volunteers. To learn more, visit spcatampabay.org.
