Local Artist and Author Andra Larkin Unveils Sci-Fi Novel and Solo Art Exhibition in a Mind-Bending Dual Event
St. Petersburg, FL–January 11, 2025–Mark your calendars for a unique fusion of art and storytelling as emerging artist and author Andra Larkin unveils her solo art exhibition alongside the release of her debut sci-fi novel, Veil of Eden. Larkin’s visual art complements the novel with twenty-seven visually captivating pieces inspired by the book’s futuristic world. The exhibit is now open to the public at the Gulf Coast Artists’ Alliance (GCAA) Artists in Residence location, at 5546 1st Ave N, St. Petersburg, FL 33710, and will run through February 1, 2025. A special reception and book launch event will take place on Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 5:00 to 8:00 PM.
Andra Larkin, a St. Petersburg-based creative, debuts her first solo art show and novel. She is the founder of Backward Words, a boutique publishing company, and employs “mirror writing” in her creative process. The technique, famously used by Leonardo da Vinci to write backwards, reverses each letter so it is readable only when held up to a mirror.
Andra brings her unique perspective to life through her latest works of art and her novel, Veil of Eden. This science-fiction thriller takes readers on a journey through existential reflection, exploring themes such as free will, the nature of humanity, celebrity culture, absolute power, and the promises and perils of artificial intelligence.
The January 25 reception will provide an opportunity for attendees to meet Andra, discuss her creative process, and purchase signed copies of Veil of Eden. Guests can also experience the artist’s compelling visual works, inspired by the novel’s themes.
