Living in the U.S. makes you an expert on our culture, and a student is ready and eager to learn by joining you in everyday life. Did you know that making dinner, going to the store, and hanging out in the evening provide fascinating cultural lessons to an exchange student? Your student doesn’t need a tour guide-just a caring family to join.
Hosting an exchange student enriches your family and brings the world a bit closer together. Making an impact in the world is easier than you think!
About hosting:
- Host families come in all shapes and sizes. You may be a single parent, an empty-nester, a couple with or without children – All family dynamics are welcome!
- You choose the student you host. We can help you find a student that is a great match for your family.
- Your exchange student will attend your local high school.
- Students come with insurance and spending money to cover personal expenses, including clothing, school fees, phone, school lunches, etc.
- Host families provide room & board and loving parental guidance.
- Your Local Coordinator will be available to answer questions and provide any support you or your student might need.
