Kevin joined the company in September of 2013 with over 15 years of industry experience. In October of 2019 he was appointed President of TypTap Insurance Company a division of HCI Group.
Prior to be appointed President, Kevin served as Senior Vice President overseeing the areas of Investor Relations, Sales & Marketing, and Reinsurance buying. Before joining HCI Group, Mitchell worked from 2008 to 2013 for Arthur J. Gallagher, a US-based global insurance brokerage and risk management services firm. During his tenure at AJG he served as Area Director of the Financial Institution Practice, with a primary focus in Property & Casualty Insurance. Before joining Gallagher, he spent over three years working for Oswald Companies, one of the nation’s largest independent, employee-owned insurance brokerage firms.
Kevin has a Bachelor of Science degree from Bowling Green State University.
