Bon Secours Maria Manor’s St. Pete campus sells for a combined $30M

The Bon Secours Maria Manor’s St. Petersburg campus – one of the largest skilled nursing facilities in Tampa Bay – has a new owner.
The Bon Secours St. Petersburg Health System, a non-profit Catholic health care system that provides nursing care and assisted living, sold the property at 10300 4th St. N. in a $30 million deal on April 25 to an entity connected to New Jersey-based Aventura Health Group.
The property has two parcels. One parcel houses a 73,854-square-foot assisted living facility with over 100 residential units. The other parcel has a 62,285-square-foot facility that has 274-beds dedicated to short-term rehabilitation, dementia care and long-term care. The building has 32-beds dedicated to short-term rehabilitation and a therapy gym.
The Bon Secours Maria Manor is one of only a few Catholic nursing and rehabilitation facilities serving the Diocese of St. Petersburg, according to the organization’s Facebook page.
The Bon Secours Maria Manor has maintained accreditation by the Joint Commission since 1998 and in 2013, it received the Florida Governor’s Gold Seal.
Executives at the Bon Secours Maria Manor’s St. Petersburg campus and the Aventura Health Group were not immediately available to provide comments regarding the purchase and future operations.
Aventura Health Group, under the LLC, took out a $30 million mortgage loan from NBH Bank for the purchase.
The Aventura Health Group’s website doesn’t include the St. Pete property in its portfolio, but it does show the organization has health care facilities in Baltimore and Pennsylvania.
