Twelve local artists have contributed photography, painting, sculpture, jewelry and more to The Dali Dozen, taking place today from 6:30 to 9 p.m. at the Dali Museum. It’s a ticketed event (click here) that includes gallery admission – the current main exhibition is the astonishing Dalí & the Impressionists: Monet, Renoir, Degas & More.

The jazz duo Orilla performs Thursday, 6 to 7 p.m., at the Dali Museum. Ona K and Alejandro Arenas will perform holiday songs from Catalonia, Spain and Latin America. Tickets.

On Dec. 15, the Dali is throwing another ticketed holiday-season bash, this one surrounding the geodesic Dali Dome. The Dome After Dark: Holiday Edition event also includes interactive art activities and an “ugly sweater” contest. All the details are here.

ArtWalk time

Saturday brings the monthly St. Petersburg Arts Alliance Second Saturday ArtWalk, during which more than 40 citywide galleries and studios are in doors-open, visitors-welcome mode. It’s a way for residents (and visitors) to see what this art-creating thing is all about, on a local level.

The 5 to 9 p.m. event is a self-guided tour, and at this link is the December map and list.

Often, art galleries will time show openings and artist receptions with ArtWalk weekend, to maximize exposure (and, hopefully, snag a few sales in the bargain).

Making its debut Saturday at the Tully Levine Gallery, at the Arts Xchange (515 22nd Street S.), is “Six-String SongScapes,” an interactive exhibit celebrating art and music. Featuring abstract photography by Tampa’s Ali Hasbach, with performances by musicians Mike Dawes, Vicki Genfan, Tony McManus, Doug Munro and Massimo Varini.

Five Deuces Galleria, 2101 3rd Ave. S. “Small Works” opens Saturday, with more than 150 pieces by 50+ local artists.

The Mount Zion Progressive Missionary Baptist Church Choir, plus the church’s band and mime ensemble, perform Saturday at 8 p.m. on the Warehouse Arts District Association’s outdoor stage.
