Company Leadership
CEO
Sebastian Gomez Puerto was born in Bogota, Colombia in the mid 1980s. The violence in his native Colombia made his family migrate to the US in the early 1990s. But this wasn’t the only move Sebastian would make. For the last 30 years he has been living in 7 different countries and 10 different cities through the Americas. Through these travels, Sebastian has seen first hand how people commuted using different forms of transportation and the age of 13 he promised himself that he would change the way people move. His first job led him to Ford Motor Company where he launched new compact and eco-friendly vehicles during the 2009 recession. But his dream was to create a company that would impact people’s transportation so he left to pursue his MBA in entrepreneurship at Babson College. In 2014 he graduated Summa Cum Laude granting him the opportunity to address his fellow classmates at the student commencement speaker. That same year Sebastian, cofounded Cafe X, a successful robotic coffee bar company headquartered in San Francisco. After some time in Silicon Valley, Sebastian decided he was ready to launch the transportation company he dreamed about and moved to Miami to make it happen. But this time robotics and last mile electric devices became part of the picture. SunVessel was born in late 2017 with that same purpose that ignited Sebastian’s early dreams - to change the way we move.
