St. Pete mayoral candidates trade policy, not punches, in second forum

The second St. Petersburg mayoral debate, hosted by the League of Women Voters at SPC's Music Center Thursday night, differed sharply from the first.

The NAACP's June debate often devolved into attacks on Mayor Kenneth Welch's record, particularly regarding hurricane response and transparency. This time, the format prohibited rebuttals and direct exchanges, forcing candidates to spend nearly all of their time discussing policy.

Dalí Dome to debut immersive ‘Surreal Nature’

In the wake of the success of its immersive, visual dives into the music of Pink Floyd and Queen, as well as the art and surrealistic visions of its namesake, Salvadore Dali, the Dalí Museum has a new 360-degree experience for visitors to its backyard Dalí Dome.

Surreal Nature, making its debut July 10, was created in collaboration with the Seoul, Korea-based digital design and art company d'strict and its multi-sensory division Arte Museum, which has immersive surround experiences in eight countries.
