Participants must sign up for the PRODUCTION 101 course. This is required prior to any other workshops.
Must be a Pinellas County resident to sign up.
Upon completion of Production 101 instructors from Bluewater Media will place the students into the higher-level classes they are interested in attending. Classes will be every other Saturday starting January 14th.
Clearwater based Bluewater Media is the first local production partner to be a part of this hands-on training program. Bluewater will;
• Write and develop the course curriculum for each class.
• Create the materials necessary for the program participants.
• Provide the studio facility.
• Provide all equipment necessary for all training.
• Provide the necessary staff and instructors for all training.

PRODUCTION 101 - Required
• Prerequisite – None
• Duration – One 4-6 hour session
• Introductory Class that is the prerequisite to taking all other Classes. This Class is to provide a baseline knowledge of what happens on a TV/Film production, the roles of each crew member, and basic set etiquette.
• Curriculum to cover things such as
o A day on set
o Departments and crew positions
o Proper Set Etiquette and Behavior
o What to Bring to Set / Toolkit
o Working Freelance / Networking

GRIP & ELECTRIC 201 (2 Sessions, 2 Days)
• Prerequisite – Production 101
• Class Size – 8-12 People
• Duration – Two 4-6 hour sessions
• This Class is to provide a baseline knowledge of grip and lighting gear, as well as proper techniques and safety standards with hands on experience setting up and tearing down equipment.

FIELD PRODUCTION AUDIO 201
• Prerequisite – Production 101
• Class Size – 4-8 People
• Duration – One 4-6 hour session
• This Class is to provide a baseline knowledge of working in the audio department, using microphones, mixers, slates, and recorders with hands on experience.
• Curriculum to cover things such as
o Tools used in the audio department

CAMERA ASSISTING 201
• Prerequisite – Production 101
• Class Size – 4-8 People
• Duration – One 4-6 hour session
• This Class is to provide a baseline knowledge of working in the camera department, using cameras, lenses, monitors, labeling and other gear and responsibilities with hands on experience.
• Curriculum to cover things such as
o Tools used in the camera department

• This Class is to provide a baseline knowledge of working in the art department, getting an overview of what happens with set design and construction, set dressing props and how to create a look from pre-production and research, to budgeting and shopping.
