Hustle (job)
Mural artist/sculptor
What do you do?
Public art
Why do you do it?
I love the challenge of conquering large walls and public spaces with beautiful and meaningful art, it brings an amazing feeling of accomplishment. Just to have the opportunity to inspire and connect with the public through my work is very rewarding in itself.
What was your Catalyst? (How did you get started?)
Over 20 years ago I came to realize that art can have a bigger and lasting impact if taken outside the gallery walls and shared with an entire community, with people from all walks of life. That’s when my life as a professional artist began to take shape.
What’s a common misconception or unknown aspect of what you do?
The long process that involves bringing to life a public art project.
What’s the most challenging part of your Hustle?
Dealing with bad weather and closed-minded people.
What’s the most valuable piece of business advice/insight that’s helped you?
“Have no fear of perfection. You’ll never reach it.” Salvador Dali.
