YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg
The YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg is a 501 (C)(3) nonprofit dedicated to building a stronger and healthier community across southern Pinellas County. With a strategic focus on youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility, the Y believes everyone should have access to programs and services that help them learn, grow and thrive.
Mission:
To put Judeo-Christian principles into practice through programs that build a healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
What We Do:
By nurturing the potential of children and teens, improving the community’s health and well-being, and providing opportunities to give back and support neighbors – the Y has the long-standing relationships and physical presence not just to promise, but to deliver, lasting personal and social change.
We Provide:
We have two wellness center locations offering group fitness classes, state-of-the-art exercise equipment, youth sports, senior fitness initiatives, community health classes, and other healthy activities for the entire family. As the area’s largest childcare provider, the Y empowers youth to succeed in school and in life through before-and-after school programs, three preschool academies, summer camps, and the YReads literacy program.
