Local solar energy company tops Inc.’s fastest-growing private Florida firms list

Clearwater-based Solar Bear was the top-ranked local company in Inc.com’s annual 5000 list.

The Inc. 5000 list ranks the fastest-growing private firms throughout the state.

Solar Bear, which sells solar panels, experienced a 19,218% growth, earning it 14th place in the list of fastest-growing firms in the U.S.

These are the Tampa Bay area companies listed by Inc. as the fastest-growing private firms in Florida:

• Clearwater-based Zulay, in the retail sector, fourth place, with 2,606 percent growth
• Tampa-based Onicx,  in the real estate sector, fifth place, with 2,164% growth
• Largo-based FASTer Way to Fat Loss, in the health sector, in sixth place, with 1,978% growth
• Tampa-based ProForma Global Sourcing, in the business products and services sector, seventh place, with 1,800% growth
• Clearwater-based CM Services, in the education sector, eighth place, with 1,341% growth
• Clearwater-based Equity & Help, in the real estate sector, ninth place, with 1,285% growth
• Clearwater-based Mold Zero, in the business products and services sector, 10th place, with 1,278% growth

Other local companies included PainTEQ, a medical device company, which experienced growth of 4,004%, and Tampa-based digital health company Peerfit, which experienced 2,943% growth.

Overall, the fastest Florida-based business staked up $14.7 billion in revenue, with an average growth of 199%. It included 34 Florida companies that were newly founded, according to Inc.’s data.
