Lolita’s Wine Market headed to a new location

After six years on Central Avenue, Lolita’s Wine Market will be relocating to a space inside the Morean Center for Clay.
Business owners Alex and Kelly Rodriguez took to Instagram to inform customers that they have closed shop at 1700 Central Ave. and will be moving Lolita’s to 420 22nd St. South in June.
The Morean Center for Clay is a restored 1926 freight depot that houses more than 50 studios of ceramic artists creating functional and non-functional clay art, according to the center’s website.
“I drive by the building all the time and thought it would be a great fit for a restaurant space,” said Melissa Rutland, who represented Lolita’s business owners.
The space was not advertised; however, that didn’t stop the Rutland Commercial Property Group from approaching the ownership group, the Arts Center Association Inc., about a leasing opportunity with Lolita’s.
The business owners executed the long-term lease earlier this year.
Rutland said Lolita’s can take advantage of the outdoor space and put in a patio at the new location.
The 20,844-square-foot building in the Warehouse Arts District sits next to the Pinellas Trail, and is close to the Urban Stillhouse restaurant.

Lolita’s is known for its create-your-own charcuterie boards, and its small plates and wine bar. The business was named after the couple’s dog, Lola.
Further details about a grand opening date will be announced via Lolita’s Instagram page.
