1 –  What would you like the community to know about you as a person?
2 –  What are your top two priorities if elected, and how do you plan to address them?
3 – If you could go back a year in time – knowing what you know now about the last two storms – what would you have advocated for so our community would be better off now?
4 –  How do you plan to balance economic development with preserving the character of our community?
5 –  Partisanship is a problem in our country. How would you describe your leadership style, and how do you approach working with people who have different opinions?
6 – Why should an undecided voter choose you?

This city and the entire region is so far behind in its infrastructure needs. This rests at the feet of all of the former mayors and city council members. We definitely can’t play catch-up as aggressively as we need to. I personally think development should be slowed until there is a firmer plan and more necessary funding to accelerate the infrastructure backlog. It seems inconceivable that the city’s stormwater and sewage treatment had to be shut down. There has to be more hardening and resiliency in this infrastructure.

Under our Strong Mayor form of government, it is the Mayor’s office that drives all agenda items. The only power a council person has is to vote yes or no on an issue. Then they have a soft power if they can influence other council members by the power of their arguments during discussion before voting.
