Each year, the St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce celebrates businesses, organizations, and individuals making positive impacts on the Sunshine City through the Good ‘Burger Awards. Nominations for the Good Burger awards are now open and run until June 21.

The Good ‘Burger honor, named after a former mayor who nicknamed St. Petersburg residents ‘Burgers, is bestowed on Chamber members (both individuals and organizations) in eight categories who reach outside of their own organization and touch the broader community.

“A Good ‘Burger channels their love and care for the community through their business,” said St. Petersburg Chamber CEO Chris Steinocher. “They recognize unique opportunities for greater impact and are willing to go the extra mile, often beyond their mission statement, to leave a lasting legacy for everyone in St. Pete.”

“We want to encourage and inspire that attitude because these contributions give St. Pete that special vibe,” he continued. “Good ‘Burgers create that difference you feel in St. Pete – the stories being told around the nation and the world, drawing people here to work, play, and stay.

“Our nominees and winners encompass the spirit of innovative thinking, excellence in their industry, inclusivity, accountability, and integrity in partnership with the community.  Nominating a business for a Good ‘Burger Award is an opportunity to show gratitude and support for the awesome work happening here in St. Pete.”

Good ‘Burger categories include: Arts & Culture, Eats & Treats, Hot Spots & Hang Outs, Makers & Creators, Most Valuable ‘Burger, New Biz On The Block. New and adjusted categories for this year include Community Conscious (two awards, budgets under $250,000 and above $250,000), and Cool Companies (two awards, 1-100 employees, and 100+ employees). Since the award ceremony’s inception in 2013, the Good ‘Burgers have celebrated greater St. Petersburg’s most-loved institutions, innovative companies and nonprofits, and biggest cheerleaders.
