The Greenhouse is St. Pete’s proverbial front door, devoted to entrepreneurship, innovation and social enterprise.
As the city evolves, so does the entrepreneurship community. Fostering business is the St. Pete Greenhouse’s priority. The program, a unique partnership between the City of St. Petersburg and the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, provides education, programming and mentorship to meet the needs of St. Pete’s evolving business ecosystem. The Greenhouse focuses on four keys of entrepreneur stages: Grow, Seed, Nurture and Transplant.
As the city’s “front door,” the Greenhouse hosts public events like 1 Million Cups, a weekly opportunity for entrepreneurs to network, present a project and hear about new businesses starting in St. Pete. The meet-ups between entrepreneurs happen every Wednesday morning. The Greenhouse’s core offerings, Icehouse and the Entrepreneurial Academy, are 10-week courses on the essentials of business ownership. Other offerings include the Bicycle Business Program, Arts Business Academy and specific one-off courses in business software, legal assistance and many others.
