Since it first opened its doors in downtown St. Petersburg in 1920, the YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg has continued to effect lasting personal and social change in this community. It is estimated that well over one million individuals have connected with and been inspired by the YMCA of Greater St. Petersburg over the past 98 years. This vital and impactful support speaks to the Y’s relevance, and the strong commitment to the Y’s position in the community as a proud leader in youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility.
Serving nearly 80,000 individuals annually in a community with a population of approximately 400,000, the YMCA has purposefully and historically committed the fullest extent of its resources to those in need.
