Suncoast Tiger Bay Club welcomed Jeff Weaver, Bernie Sanders’ 2016 presidential campaign manager, to speak on his new book, How Bernie Won: Inside The Revolution That’s Taking Back Our Country and Where We Go From Here Thursday afternoon. Weaver spoke on the current wave of progressive politics exemplified by Andrew Gillum’s upset win of the Florida gubernatorial primary, and the policies set forth by Sanders’ campaign, which Weaver calls an extension of the New Deal-era Democratic Party principles. Hear Suncoast Tiger Bay members ask Weaver questions about the 2016 campaign: Hillary Clinton’s loss, Trump’s win and the politics of today.
