Skyway Capital Markets LLC, a Tampa, FL-based boutique investment banking firm, is pleased to announce Mr. Daniel (Dan) Blood has joined as Senior Managing Director.
Mr. Blood is a seasoned investment banker with expertise in capital raising, mergers & acquisitions and general corporate advisory. Most recently, Mr. Blood worked for FBR for ten years and was the head of the New York Office and Real Estate Investment Banking Group where he led the origination of eight sole managed 144a equity offerings raising $3.4 billion of equity and 11 book run IPO's raising $3.3 billion of equity.
During his tenure, Mr. Blood helped established ten new companies including: Air Lease, American Residential Properties, American Home for Rent, Century Communities, Clipper Realty, MedEquities and Peak Resorts.
Before FBR, Mr. Blood worked for Bear Stearns from 1990-2008. In his eighteen years at Bear Stearns, Dan developed expertise in capital raising and corporate advisory for REITs, specialty finance and financial institutions. He ran the Debt Capital Markets Group (Emerging Markets, International and Investment Grade), overseeing a team of 25 professionals.
Earlier in his career, Mr. Blood spent five years at Chemical Bank, covering Midwestern clients. During his 30-year career, he has helped raise over $100B of capital consisting of hundreds of transactions.
Mr. Blood graduated from Davidson College in 1984 and received his MBA from the University of Chicago in 1990.
