Tampa's Super League team, co-owned by Ybor City developer and BluePearl Veterinary Partners co-founder Darryl Shaw, Bern’s Steak House owner David Laxer and former BluePearl executive Jeff Fox, kicks off in August 2024. When that happens, young women in the growing Tampa Bay metro area will have an opportunity they didn't have before. "To know that we can open those doors and provide those opportunities that didn't exist for us, that's what gets me excited about the team and the league," Unkel said.
