BKS Partners, a Tampa-headquartered insurance brokerage and risk management firm announced today the appointment of Frank Baker to Partner.
Baker joined the firm as a founding member in 2006. He came aboard possessing knowledge of Tampa’s recreational maritime interests, experience that helped BKS build its maritime practice, including the consummation of a joint venture with Galati Marine, the nation’s leading boat dealer.
In making the announcement Lowry Baldwin, Founding Partner, praised Baker both professionally and personally. “Frank took a leap of faith to join our firm in its infancy never looking back as he cast an indelible impression on our colleagues and our journey through his pursuit of excellence and mastery. He successfully demonstrated that you can combine a recreational passion with a professional avocation by helping to form, lead and grow our BKS Marine Practice. I am exceedingly proud to welcome Frank as a Partner.”
Over the years, Baker has formed close relationships with real estate firms and financial institutions, as well as clients in the healthcare, maritime and hospitality industries. He has continuously exceeded annual source and production goals since joining the firm.

Frank won the firm’s True North and Trailblazer awards every year since their launch for his outstanding contributions. This success is rooted in his ability to craft holistic insurance solutions for all kinds of entrepreneurs, their businesses, their passions and their families.
In accepting the promotion, Frank spoke of the journey he has enjoyed at BKS. “The founding partners treated me as a respected colleague, mentoring me from my first day. It gives me great satisfaction that their faith in me has been rewarded and I look to a future where I will pay it forward with others as they join our ranks.”
A Tampa native, Frank graduated from Jesuit High School in 1999 and has a bachelor’s degree in economics from Southern Methodist University. He is a member of Christ the King Parrish and enjoys spending time on the water with his wife Candice and his two children.
