First Home Bank is proud to recognize Matthew M. Luckey as Executive Vice President and Chief Banking Officer after 4 years of outstanding leadership.
Luckey plays an instrumental role in driving the business toward its goal to become a billion dollar bank by 2020. “Matthew has been an integral part of our leadership team. He never loses sight of customer needs while maintaining a strong vision for our company goals and a plan on how to achieve them,” Chief Executive Officer Anthony N. Leo said.
Luckey joined First Home Bank in 2015 as Senior Vice President, St. Petersburg Market Executive. After a year and a half, he was promoted to Executive Vice President, Community Banking Division, where he opened several new branches, renovated existing branches, and guided community banking leaders in improving operational efficiency. He strives to instill and maintain a culture at First Home Bank that is customer focused and service oriented.
Luckey has spent his career serving in several retail banking and commercial banking capacities. In 1997, Luckey earned his Bachelor of Business Administration from the University of Georgia. He then began his career as Banking Associate with SunTrust Bank. After two years with SunTrust Bank, he served Synovus Bank as Vice President for 12 years, followed by The Bank of Tampa as Vice President for 3 years. His areas of expertise include branch management, credit underwriting, and commercial lending.
