St. Petersburg College (SPC) named Dr. Raquel Hairston as its new Dean of Dual Enrollment. A veteran education leader with over 20 years of experience in K–12 instruction and school administration, Hairston will lead the College’s dual enrollment strategy and partnerships, expanding access to early college opportunities for high school students across the region. Hairston currently serves as principal of the College’s STEM-focused collegiate high school, where she has led the expansion of early-college pathways, industry certifications and career-focused programming aligned with high-wage, high-demand fields. Her work has strengthened student outcomes and broadened access to accelerated academic options. Before joining the College, Hairston served with Pinellas County Schools as a teacher, assistant principal and principal, giving her comprehensive, end-to-end experience in every aspect of school leadership from classroom instruction to campuswide strategy and transformation.
