Synapse plans hybrid summit next spring
Synapse Florida has set the date for its fourth Synapse Summit, a chance to celebrate, discover and engage with the state’s innovation community.
The summit, scheduled March 8-11, 2021, will be a hybrid event, with a digital platform for virtual attendance as well as limited-capacity in-person events, a news release said.
The 2021 summit will feature a couple of new initiatives, including the inaugural Synapse Innovation Awards. The awards will recognize those driving innovation, promoting equity and inclusivity, and making a positive impact for their community. In addition, Synapse is collaborating with partners statewide for a behind-the-scenes look at Florida innovation hubs.
Traditional content, such as keynote presentations and breakout sessions, also will be presented. There will be tracks for eight areas of interest: health, clean tech, defense, cybersecurity, entertainment and hospitality, investment, emerging tech and community impact.
“Synapse has built a community, a movement,” Brian Kornfeld, CEO and co-founder of Synapse, said in the news release. “Throughout 2020 we’ve listened to our community to find out what they need and how we can help, knowing we live in a different world. We have embraced the virtual experience to truly make access to innovation and entrepreneurial resources equitable. This year has presented so many challenges, but it has also inspired and accelerated numerous innovations that will forever change our world.”
General admission is free. GA+ tickets for $49 offer additional features, such as on-demand replays and curated networking, while $149 VIP tickets offer special programming and limited audience sessions. For more information and registration, click here.
The summit is one of two upcoming events from Synapse Florida, a nonprofit based in Tampa that connects entrepreneurs, talent, investors, corporations, educational institutions and other stakeholders in the state’s innovation economy.
Synapse Converge will take place Monday, Nov. 16 through Thursday, Nov. 19, during Global Entrepreneurship Week. The free event will be completely virtual.
