TEC Garage taps tech pioneer Tom Wallace for entrepreneur speaker series
TEC Garage is at it again. The St. Petersburg-based entrepreneurship center for start-ups and tech businesses will welcome Tom Wallace to its quarterly Diary of an Entrepreneur program on Tuesday, April 10. Wallace, a tech pioneer and 25-year veteran of the field, will talk “Startups and Raising Capital” along with the many other insights he’s gathered along the way. Wallace has experience in every stage of start-up entrepreneurship, including creating, building, running, and selling several tech companies (most notably: Tribridge ($150m tech services firm), Q-Link (sold to Adobe), RedVector (recapped at $268m)). He is also a managing partner of Florida Funders, a hybrid venture capital fund and crowd-funding platform that invests in early stage tech companies in Florida.
The Diary of an Entrepreneur series provides education opportunities through speakers, as well as networking opportunities for local tech industry leaders, innovators, start-ups, investors, and others interested in the success of the tech and entrepreneurship fields in Tampa Bay.

About Tom Wallace:
Tom has been a technology entrepreneur since co-founding his first company at the age of 23. He has been involved in starting, investing, growing and building businesses ever since. Tom has also been an active tech angel investor for the past 25 years. His investments include: Vector Solutions (sold to Providence Equity Partners, Tribridge (sold to DXC Technology), Q-Link (sold to Adobe), Adjoy, Threshold-360, all the Florida Funders portfolio companies, and many others. Prior to joining Florida Funders, Tom served as CEO of Vector Solutions, a SaaS company in the online training compliance space, which he invested in 2003. In 2016 Vector Solutions was purchased by Providence Equity Partners, a $40 billion private equity firm, giving Tom a 50x return on his investment.
