3DE BY JUNIOR ACHIEVEMENT PARTNERS WITH BANK OF AMERICA TO SUPPORT ITS NEWEST LEARNING EXPERIENCE IN TAMPA BAY

TAMPA, FL – Junior Achievement of Tampa Bay has announced today that it has received $50,000 from Bank of America for its newest learning experience, 3DE. This is the second consecutive year Bank of America is donating $50,000 to 3DE by Junior Achievement. Bank of America was a founding partner when this learning model launched last year in four Tampa Bay High schools. Junior Achievement’s partnership with Bank of America helped launch this transformational model and support systemic educational change to increase the region’s economic mobility. With over 1,000 3DE students participating this school year, and with a highly diverse student population that mirrors the demographics of the region, 3DE Schools is designed to help break down barriers for opportunity. Junior Achievement and 3DE schools bring relevance to learning through integrating industries and lifting competencies, which develop transferable skills and higher academic outcomes. This is achieved through case methodology application across all disciplines and the engagement of the broader business community as coaches, mentors and instructors.

Last year, Bank of America volunteers served as coaches and mentors, catalyzed the relevancy of education, drove student engagement and helped develop a diverse workforce pipeline for the region’s economy. This year, Bank of America will not only volunteer time and talent, but will also be the focus of the last case challenge the tenth graders will complete this school year. The students will provide thoroughly researched solutions for real world problems the organization faces.

In addition to Tampa Bay, Orlando and Palm Beach 3DE programs will receive support from Bank of America. The state-wide initiative will help 3DE students throughout Florida, enabling thousands of young people to participate in this innovative learning model and gain a meaningful education.
