On Wednesday, February 19, Dr. Ray Arsenault shares his thoughts on his newest book, John Lewis: In Search of the Beloved Community, as part of the Beach Drive Forum at First Presbyterian Church. The book is a biography of John Lewis, Civil Rights legend and lifelong public servant. Dr. Arsenault, John Hope Franklin Professor of Southern History Emeritus at USF, is noted for his numerous award-winning books on southern history including Freedom Riders: 1961 and the Struggle for Racial Justice; The Sound of Freedom: Marian Anderson, the Lincoln Memorial, and the Concert That Awakened America and Arthur Ashe: A Life.

Beach Drive Forums, free seminars sponsored by First Presbyterian Church, 701 Beach Drive NE, St. Pete, are monthly conversations for the community with intriguing speakers on thought-provoking topics. They are held on Wednesdays from 5:30-7:30 PM in Fellowship Hall of First Presbyterian Church. Doors open at 5:30 PM, presentation is at 6 PM. Refreshments and Q&A are included. Open to the public. Best parking is in the church lot off N. Shore Dr. NE.
