Ikebana International Chapter #65 of Saint Petersburg will hold its 63nd Annual Exhibition January 20-21, 2024 at the Treasure Island Community Center. Free and open to the public, this elaborate exhibition of Japanese floral design, known as ikebana, will feature more than fifty stunning flower arrangements, all created by members of the chapter. This ancient Japanese art of bringing life to flowers, always reflects the person who created it. Every arrangement hopes to touch the heart of the person who views it. This year’s theme is Curves and Angles. Those attending can expect to see flowers arranged in many kinds of containers, using both natural elements and some surprising sculptural components. Look for innovative uses of wire, plastic, paper and, of course, flowers and branches.
