Comegys Insurance Agency Awards $10,000 Donation to Men in the Making

Comegys Insurance Agency has officially awarded a $10,000 donation to Men in the Making, a nonprofit organization dedicated to mentoring young men through life skills training, education and positive role modeling.

The $10,000 donation will provide support for Men in the Making by funding programs that emphasize academic excellence, social responsibility, emotional stability and cultural acuity. Through holistic role modeling and mentoring, the investment will enhance curriculum development and exposure outings, providing young men with transformative experiences that shape their future success. The funds will directly contribute to mentorship sessions, leadership training and real-world learning opportunities, reinforcing our commitment to empowering the next generation.

Initially, Comegys Insurance Agency received a $5,000 donation through the Liberty Mutual® and Safeco Insurance® 2025 Make More Happen™ Awards program for its partnership with Men in the Making. After their story was featured on the Make More Happen microsite at https://www.agentgiving.com/comegys-insurance-agency, the community rallied with over 500 votes and comments—triggering a matching donation and bringing the total to $10,000.

Comegys Insurance Agency has been actively involved with Men in the Making for several years, providing mentorship, sponsoring the annual leadership summit and scholarship programs, and helping fund educational opportunities. Each summer, the agency organizes a back-to-school supply drive, and every December, they participate in a holiday gift drive. Additionally, the Comegys Insurance Agency team hosts an annual career workshop to equip participants with financial literacy and professional development skills.

Throughout 2025, Liberty Mutual and Safeco Insurance will select up to 36 independent agencies nationwide for a Make More Happen Award, donating up to $360,000 to nonprofits they support. Agencies become eligible for the award by submitting applications showcasing their commitment to a specific cause.
