Cornelius Demps Straw Poll Victories and Fundraising Achievements Give Momentum Going into Florida Primary Election Day
Wesley Chapel, FL: Cornelius Demps was the winner of two significant straw polls as the Florida Primary Election Day of August 20 approaches. Cornelius won the Tampa Bay Chamber Hob Nob straw poll on July 31 winning 45.14% of the vote. On August 8, Cornelius also won the Politics in Pinellas Candidate Showcase straw poll hosted by Amplify Clearwater and the Safety Harbor Chamber of Commerce with 41.3% of votes.
Cornelius is in a competitive three-way judicial race that also features Nick Fiorentino and Jenn Dubbeld. Cornelius had impressive performances at judicial candidate forums held by organizations including the Women’s Republican Club of Pasco, West Pasco Republican Club, the Belleair Women’s Republican Club, and the Pinellas County Trial Lawyers Association.
Despite being the third candidate to join the race, Cornelius is also the leader in monetary contributions with $51,652.06 as of the most recent financial reporting date of August 2, 2024. This bring the total amount of money received by the campaign to $76,802.06 in a six-month time frame.
