Developer Brian Andrus’ newest project, Marina Bay 880, near completion
Clearwater, Fla. (August 9, 2021)— Andrus Development Group’s Brian Andrus has announced the forthcoming completion of Marina Bay 880, a $70 million luxury residential project on the intracoastal waterway.
Marina Bay 880 is the most recent development for Andrus, who is one of only approximately 30 Florida real estate professionals to hold both the Certified Commercial Investment Member and Accredited Land Consultant certifications. A past licensed general contractor with nearly 30 years of experience in commercial and residential real estate development, he also served as past president (2017) of the Florida Gulfcoast Commercial Association of Realtors (FGCAR).
Andrus’ bold vision for Marina Bay 880 includes two eight-story buildings with a total of 87 condominiums, located above a shared, common 80,000-square foot parking garage. Another eight townhomes are wrapped around an adjacent marina. Construction for the 380,000-square foot project began in October 2019.
“Aside from the look and the amenities (which include an adjacent marina), Marina Bay 880’s extremely high quality is a testament to the team of experienced trade professionals who have collaborated to create this project,” said Andrus. “It is now nearly complete, and it has become something of which I am very proud.”
Boasting panoramic views of Clearwater Bay and beyond, from the Memorial Bridge (linking downtown Clearwater to Clearwater Beach) to the small islands and silhouettes of the beach’s skyline, Marina Bay 880 offers a sought-after location with views that will inspire residents to immerse themselves in the natural Clearwater lifestyle, just minutes from downtown.
Marina Bay 880’s 87 stunning residences, ranging from 1,815 to 3,809 square feet of air-conditioned living space, will illustrate new levels of unique coastal luxury. Each residence has 173 to 989 square feet of outside space and, of course, water views throughout. A selection of open-concept floor plans features 44 two-bedroom residences, 42 three-bedroom residences and 1 four-bedroom residence. Each two-bedroom residence and select three-bedroom residences include a den. Interior features include high ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows and wide terraces offering breathtaking bay views. Additional features include spacious, dual walk-in closets; two-person showers kitchens with islands, wood cabinets and quartz countertops; hurricane-proof windows and glass doors; two parking spaces per residence in a secure garage with electric car charging stations, and climate-controlled storage space for each residence.
Several dozen available residences, priced from the mid-$750,000s to over $1.9 million, are currently available for purchase. Two model residences are available for viewing. Combining residences is possible as construction allows. Additional storage spaces and a limited number of two-car garages are also available for purchase. Each of Marina Bay 880’s eight townhomes have been sold.
“Marina Bay 880 is unusually amenity-rich to begin with, but I wanted to provide this to enable it to stand out from among other luxury residential real estate,” commented Andrus. “Exceptional amenities really emphasize the distinctive lifestyle available here.”
Amenities of the pet-friendly community include 69 adjacent boat slips (47 with lifts); boat rentals at the neighboring marina; an adjacent, private peninsula for nature walks, sunset strolls and fishing; an Olympic-sized lap pool with spa and sunset-facing, shallow water sun shelves; dry sauna and steam room; fitness center with advanced technology gym equipment, including Pilates-style reformers, barres and room for group instruction; barbecue area with pantry and dining space; outdoor fire table with seating; a putting and chipping green, and a spacious activity lawn for ring toss, corn hole games, and more.
Community amenities will include a 24/7 staffed reception desk to receive guests and packages, a secondary gathering room for meetings and events, electronic keyless entry, and an innovative recycling service for residents. A spacious, multi-use clubroom will include an art wall and seated conversation areas with sunset views; fireplace; flat screen television; billiards table; shuffleboard; ping pong, and board games.
The project is built by Naples-based DeAngelis Diamond, utilizing advanced coastal construction technologies designed to minimize environmental impact. Residences have been elevated an additional two feet above future flood levels, to address insurance savings as well as potential future sea level rise.
