Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille tops Tripadvisor’s 2023 ‘Everyday Eats’ list of best restaurants nationally

Tripadvisor has named Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille on the St. Pete Pier the No. 1 restaurant in the country on its 2023 Travelers’ Choice Best of the Best Restaurants for Everyday Eats list. Winners were selected by real diners who have left their feedback on Tripadvisor within the past year.
Award-winning Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille offers food with a unique balance of flavors inspired by the Caribbean Rim. Beloved for its sauces, spices and passion, Doc Ford’s is known by locals and visitors alike as a spectacular seafood restaurant, serving up its signature Yucatan shrimp daily.

The list highlights restaurants known for laid-back fare that go above and beyond without breaking the bank. The Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille on the St. Pete Pier has received more than 2,700 reviews labeling the restaurant “Excellent.”
A Tripadvisor review said, “We had such a great meal here on our first night in St. Pete, we went back again for our last night. Wonderful fresh fish and the steak was amazing, too. Really friendly staff and beautiful location Sit outside and listen to live music and enjoy the bustling surroundings.”
This isn’t the first time Doc Ford’s has been on the Best of the Best Restaurants for Everyday Eats list. Doc Ford’s Rum Bar & Grille Fort Myers Beach location was named No. 1 in the country in 2021 and came in second place in 2022.
Tripadvisor states on its website that “Fewer than 1% of Tripadvisor’s 8 million listings are awarded Best of the Best, signifying the highest level of excellence.”
