Feeding Tampa Bay Receives $145,000 through Bank of America COVID-19 Employee Booster Initiative
Bank of America awarded Feeding Tampa Bay a $145,000 grant to address food insecurity in the region. Within Feeding Tampa Bay’s 10-county service territory in West Central Florida, the organization plays a crucial role in providing meals to nearly 1 million families.
Bank of America’s investment is the latest in a long-standing partnership with Feeding Tampa Bay. Since 2010, the bank has awarded over $725,000 to the organization and dedicated hundreds of hours through volunteer efforts.
Nationally, Bank of America is donating $10.6 million to food banks and hunger relief organizations across the country on behalf of bank employees who got their booster shots and notified the bank before January 31, 2022. The bank made an additional local contribution to address the increased need experienced by hunger relief organizations. This newest incentive supports the overall health of the community while also making sure local food banks are adequately resourced.
