Tampa, Fla. – Florida Funders, a firm providing early-stage capital to Florida companies, announces a $4.1 million investment in Tampa-based TrashButler, a revolutionary doorstep valet trash and recycling service for apartments and multi-family communities with a reoccurring income stream for the property and a marketable amenity for residents. Founded by the leaders behind College Hunks Hauling Junk (CHHJ), TrashButler services communities nationwide with clean-cut, uniformed Trash-Butlers® available for pickups five nights per week.

“We are thrilled to announce our biggest raise thus-far with our investment in TrashButler,” said Tom Wallace, Managing Partner for Florida Funders. “Founded by College Hunks Hauling Junk, TrashButler has an incredibly experienced team of individuals, including previous executives of the largest doorstep collections provider in the country. TrashButler has impressed us immensely with their recent success and we look forward to an incredibly successful partnership.”

TrashButler enhances waste disposal by providing residents with the convenience of doorstep trash pickup at an affordable price, included within their rent. Before TrashButler, residents in many locations are required to carry their trash to the onsite compacter, often resulting in residents spilling loose trash throughout the community, safety issues, and overall resident discontent. TrashButler partners directly with apartment and multi-family complexes to service all doors associated within the communities for a multi-year contract, meanwhile, bridging the gap between residents and waste management through its valet, hassle-free service.

“TrashButler has added many new communities within the last year and we’re excited to capitalize on our growth and continue our expansion in the marketplace,” said Nick Friedman, Co-Founder and President for TrashButler. “We pride ourselves in providing a stress-free service with reliable, clean-cut employees. We’re excited about Florida Funders’ investment in TrashButler and we look forward to bringing our solution to new markets and residents nationwide.”

In Florida Funders’ largest investment to-date, Florida Funders’ raised $4.1 million in a total $5 million, Series A round of funding. TrashButler will utilize the investment for operational growth, national sales expansion, and technology enhancements and developments. Through the recent round of investments, TrashButler is poised for steady growth, not only with new communities, but to develop the necessary tools to reach more consumers and contribute to a cleaner community. Additionally, TrashButler has partnered with Feeding the Children Everywhere and has made a pledge to donate one meal per month for every unit (door) that is serviced nationwide.
