Girls Rock St. Pete: Summer Concert + Upcoming Fall Programs
For the eighth year, Girls Rock St. Pete culminates their July 17 – 21 “Power Week” – a transformative summer camp focused on self-care, fearless expression and building community – with a final concert open to the public on Saturday, July 22 at Jannus Live from 6 – 9 p.m.
With the goal of having 1,000 attend, the community is encouraged to show up for girls and gender-expansive youth at this energetic event. The annual concert will feature opening band ANARKITTY, eight camper bands premiering their new original songs, a special land acknowledgment, drag performance, and interactive stations including a not-so-silent auction, punk rock crafts, live screen printing, food and girl-powered merch.
New programming includes:
— Ladies Rock Camp, Launching October 2023.
— Youth Open Mic Night. First date scheduled for Sunday, August 27 from 3 – 6 p.m. at The Chattaway
— Legends. Six-week intergenerational course empowering younger and adult learners (aged 14 and older) to continue their musical education.
— Anarkitty. GRSP’s showcase band features a rotating lineup of campers and graduates of “Power Week’ that collaborate year-round.
