Gulfportians Discuss Trends and Forces Impacting Their Town
On January 30, community leaders, residents and creatives who live, work or play in Gulfport will gather at the Casino to discuss the impending environmental, social, and economic changes that are impacting the town and region. The Gulfport on the Edge event is free but registration is required and may be limited. Gulfport-on-the-Edge.eventbrite.com
This second of three town halls will feature hosted community conversations where participants will share knowledge about current trends, identify themes, and record questions that arise from the discussions. The trends, themes and resources identified and documented during these sessions will be compiled and made available to local civic, business and faith groups as well as the City of Gulfport to use in their own planning.
Gulfport on the Edge events are produced by a team of 30+ volunteers who share a desire to bring people together to create a vibrant future for Gulfport. Resources and staff support are provided by the City of Gulfport. The town halls are sponsored by Ward 1 City Councilor April Thanos, who says, “The start of the new year is a great time to gather many people’s perspectives and create a shared vision of Gulfport’s future.” athanos@mygulfport.us
